  2. Sparkylulu says If you have to buy anything for people with babies, I have to recommend the Rock A Bye series. Rock songs done as lullabyes. I just got Radiohead for my 1 month old nephew and my wife and I got Pink Floyd and Ramones for our new baby, due in 4 months. Seriously, a great gift.

  3. Sureshot says Nobody that young to buy for but that sounds good for myself Sparky :) I have a 48 year old brother who isn't a huge music or film fanatic. History, ice hockey, and Newcastle United are his thing. Any ideas Hells? Oh and his wife... I haven't got a clue what to buy her.

  5. Sparkylulu says Hopefully, my MOG will have the lullabyes up soon as I am ripping the cd's now, you could get a taste. They are awesome. Does your brother like video games? Because I just saw a Civil War game for Playstation that I want to get. History buffs can't go wrong with the Civil War Series by Ken Burns, by the way. even if they aren't into movie, it's 9 hours of sheer genius.

  6. QueenofHell says Oh, I like that you called me Hells - that's what one of my great mates calls me. I'm not really into football, so I can't really suggest what to buy him relating to NUFC other than the latest strip. Just realised that it's pretty cool that football uniforms are called 'strips'. History, I'm better at, as I have a degree in history and an MA in Cultural History. It depends what period of history he's into though. The Great Cat Massacre is a great book which relates to literature, history and anthropology. A book by Alain Corbain called The Foul and the Fragrant is a good read. If he likes the sea, another book by Alain Corbin called The Lure of the Sea would be a good choice. If he likes travel and reading, a philosophy book by Alan de Botton called The Art of Travel is brilliant. I love that book so much. His wife is more tricky. A great scent is Stella McCartney's Rose Absolute - but you can never tell with perfume, whether someone will like it, or suit it. If you live near to each other, a gift token for a manicure or pedicure from a local beautician would be appreciated, I'm sure.

  7. Sureshot says No, games aren't his thing either. Something will come to mind.

  8. Sureshot says He works in the travel industry. The Art of Travel sounds like something that would appeal to him. I'll test the perfume on my sister as they have similar tastes in most things. Thanks for the suggestions.
