I'd give anything to see

This band back on stage...As a special treat feed your ears with every free mp3 ever released via Curve's websitehere. Curve split last year but for this ageing indie kid their music will live forever, as will my hopeless crush on Toni Halliday.

  1. mullytron says Yep, they were one of the greats in their corner of the indie world. I liked their approach way better than any of the other beats-and-guitar-noise bands. Plus her singing is dream-o-licious...

  2. cherbonsy says Very nice. It'd be interesting to hear what they would sound like today were they to get back together.

  3. Dale says Yes, please! This might provide me the impetus to talk Melissa into the trip across the pond/

  4. raithrover says I'm sure every indie boy back then had a crush on Toni. Curve where a breath of fresh air when they first started releasing their EP's - oh how I loved that format. I'll defo check the link out later on, Curve are one of those bands I've been meaning to rediscover after all these years. Saw them at the height of their powers in Edinburgh. I think they struggled to replicate their energy onstage. Perhaps the PA systems of the time just couldn't cope, but on record they were excellent.

  5. Sureshot says Remember the wind machines the band always had at the front of the stage? The first time I saw them was in Leeds at the Art & Design college, the Frozen EP had just released. We'd arrived early and made it to front center of the stage, right next the wind machine. Didn't bank on it's restraints coming loose. Myself and two friends had to hold it up for about ten minutes before anyone noticed. Got a wink and a smile from Toni in the process though, so it was worth it in the end ;) You're right about the early EP's. Doppelganger is a good album, but it would have been much better album with those songs. I have white label promos as well as official releases of Blindfold, Frozen, and Cherry.
