Foo Fighters have announced that they will make their comeback with new single 'The Pretender,' according to NME.The track will be the first to be taken from forthcoming album 'Echoes, Silence, Patience And Grace', the follow-up to 2005's ??In Your Honor??.
'The Pretender' will be made available as a download from August 13, although its physical release is yet to be confirmed.The band's sixth studio release was produced by Gil Norton, the first time he has worked with the band since 1997's ??The Color And The Shape?? which itself is being re-released in a tenth anniversary edition.??Echoes, Silence, Patience And Grace?? will feature the following songs, although the running order has yet to be confirmed:'The Pretender''Let It Die''Erase/Replace''Long Road To Ruin''Come Alive''Stranger Things Have Happened''Cheer Up, Boys (Your Make-Up Is Running)''Summers End''Ballad Of The Beaconsfield Miners''Statues''But, Honestly''Home'The album is scheduled to drop September 25, 2007.
