The cause of death of legendary poet and Doors frontman Jim Morrison has been called into question. The standing cause of death has been heart failure, a claim which rebutted Sam Bernett's new book 'The End: Jim Morrison'.Bernett stated that Morrison had snorted heroin and was found with foam and blood coming out of his mouth, sitting on the toilet with his head and arms hanging down by his legs. The official death certificate of Morrison's death states that he died in the bath of "natural causes". 
After a confirmation that Morrison was dead by a local doctor, the body was moved back to Morrison's apartment by the two drug-dealers from whom Morrison had bought the heroin. Bernett says all who were present at the club were sworn to secrecy to prevent a scandal for the famous club. If he is not in it for the money then would it be necessary to sell the story in book format? Why not set up a website dedicated to exposing the truth?
Also, he would surely be able to find other witnesses to the claimed cover-up who would independantly verify his story, but I see no mention of any other witnesses.
I also find myself asking - what does it matter? Morrison was a junkie, chances were pretty high that he was going to bow out early after a binge. Whether he bowed out on the bog or in the bath, what difference does it make?
