Lou Reed Implies Even More ??Berlin?? Material May Surface

Posted over 4 years ago
Lou Reed recently suggested there could be even more material from the ??Berlin?? days to come. He says he's listening to tapes and there may be enough non-published material to make a second album, according to NME.??Berlin?? (1973-RCA) was a follow-up to the widely accessible and upbeat glam rock classic ??Transformer??. The album was in stark contrast to its predecessor , it's a very bleak and sad album. The song themes deal with heroin adiction and a "miserable rotten slut" having her children taken from her by the authorities, whereas ??Transformer's?? songs are "Satellite of Love" and "Perfect Day."The album was reissued earlier this year in a one-off run in digipack form. Reed is currently touring, with a show that involves him playing the album in its entirety."NME":CH[CH]http://www.nme.com/news/28998

  1. ivylander says I dunno, I wouldn't say "Transformer" is a bag of confetti. Take my favorite verse from "Perfect Day": "It's a perfect day, you made me forget myself. I thought I was someone else--someone good." Loathe yourself much, Lou?
