Sheryl Crow Sticks It To 'Bush's Brain'

Posted over 2 years ago
Karl Rove, Bush's Deputy Chief of Staff (also known as 'Bush's Brain'), turned what could have been a discussion about global warming into a meanspirted confrontation at the White House Correspondents' Association dinner Saturday night. At the dinner, Rover was approached by Sheryl Crow and Laurie David, producer of former Vice President Al Gore's environmental film "An Inconvenient Truth." The two women wanted to ask Rove to reconsider the administration's tepid response to global warming. But things immediately got ugly. "We asked Mr. Rove if he would consider taking a fresh look at the science of global warming," Laurie David said on a blog at www.huffingtonpost.com. "Much to our dismay, he immediately got combative. And it went downhill from there."White House spokesman Dana Perino described the incident differently at a White House press briefing today (Monday, April 23). "I think Karl Rove just wanted to have some fun on Saturday night. And I think he wasn't the only one," she said, making reference to the lyrics of Crow's hit, "All I Wanna Do (is have some fun).""More Here":MH[MH]http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20070423/music_nm/climate_rove_dc

  1. Mike the Knife says I'm reminded of the clip of Triumph the Insult Comic Dog in the press room after one of the Bush-Kerry presidential debates. The puppet sees Rove walking nearby and shouts, "Karl! They call you 'Bush's Brain.' That's funny. I expected a smaller man."
