Rush To Perform on the Colbert Report; First TV Appearance In Over 30 Years

Tomorrow Night (Wednesday, July 16) Canadian trio RUSH will play its classic "Tom Sawyer" on the Comedy Central show "The Colbert Report." The scheduled broadcast will be the group's first performance on television since 1975, reports the CBC.

As previously reported, the group is on tour in support of their latest Snakes & Arrows released via Atlantic. Released May 1st, 2007. Their 18th studio album, it debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard album chart with sales of 93,000 copies.
The 2008 leg of the Snakes & Arrows tour kicked off on April 11 in San Juan, Puerto Rico and will conclude July 22 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Rush never disappoints. Kudos. GarageRock - I'm 22 and I like Rush. They were the first band I ever saw live about 10 or 11 years ago. I was actually listening to Counterparts when I decided I wanted to play bass. I do agree though; I think it's strange they were on Colbert.
