Neil Young is now a spider.
Yep, there he is.
After extensive DNA testing and comparisons Jason Bond of East Carolina University made the discovery of a new type of spider in Alabama, last year. Bond has named his find "Myrmekiaphila neilyoungi," a spider which is distinguishable from others in its genus through its genitalia.
Jason Bond, Spider-man... of sorts.
"As long as these rules are followed you can give a new species just about any name you please. With regards to Neil Young, I really enjoy his music and have had a great appreciation of him as an activist for peace and justice," Bond explained.
Neil Young was unavailable for comment as well as his complementary free spider.
