Saturday Night Smut: Hella!

Posted about 1 year ago
ok, it's not ??really?? smut, but what else can you really call it?This is a group of dude who really are almost legends in Northen California. Hella. I posted about them maybe a year or so ago and felt I should give 'em another spin on the Mogos. This song is called "The Republic Of Rough And Ready,"(below) which is the name that a town near where we grew up that is the only to have "seceded" from the Union and then vote itself back in. The story goes that less than three months later, when preparing for an Independence Day celebration, community members realized that they were no longer entitled to celebrate US independence, and the secession was rescinded by popular vote. The Republic Of Rough And Ready: WAAAAY back in the day, I knew these guys and watched their sound progress. It was something that didn't just come out of nowhere, they really put a lot of attention to their craft.another example. Biblical Violence:There days they've turned into a 5 piece group and they got a guy singing for them. Interesting stuff, check more out at:http://www.hellaband.com/
