Interview With Boots Riley From The Coup; What Would Be Good Questions?

Hey Moggers,This Friday I've got an interview with Boots Riley, 1/2 of Oakland based hip hop group The Coup. We'll be meeting up before a gig here in the East Bay.The Coup's style is a funky rap with a twist of soul and leftist overtures. Their '06 ??Pick a Bigger Weapon?? released via Epitaph generated a lot of buzz and two hhit singles. What's next? It's going to be interesting to get a sneek peek from Boots about what him and DJ Pam the Funkstress are up to. If you haven't heard The Coup's latest, the singles "My Favorite Mutiny" "Laugh/Love/Fuck"it's are up over at Myspace:http://www.myspace.com/thecoupmusic What should I ask? Moggers?

    lordsecret says Ask how everyone is doing after the tour bus crash near the end of 2006. Maybe find out a little about what exactly happened. Were there any long term problems or did they all recover completely with no lasting repercussions?

J-Live I love questions that sort of show the roots, respect and direction of a musical act in general, but I find that attatching specific musical acts to the question forces an interesting and revealling answer. -Dusk
