"Britney Spears had been on a 24-hour meth binge before she was rushed to the hospital, The NATIONAL ENQUIRER has learned exclusively. Ironically, she was desperately trying to stay awake - because she was terrified that if she fell asleep, her family would "drag her off to a mental institution," according to a close source. sst says I totally believe this. The National Enquirer doesn't make the mistake of printing false stories about celebrities, because they'll get sued. I think they've learned their lesson when they got sued by Mary Tyler Moore years ago. Obviously the UFO stories are false but the celebrity stories have to be checked before they get printed.

Slicing says Ok, the laxative thing is such a none story: she's a freaking celebrity, who is expected to maintain a weight that probably isn't her normal/healthy weight.Now, the meth-thing is really bothersome because she has kids, and I've seen enough documentaries, and met a great many addicted to meth, to know that while taking laxatives on a daily basis isn't healthy neither you or your kids, meth can get you and your kids killed.

Brian McNevin says People love watching train wrecks, which is sad. When she winds up killing herself, the media is going to have one heck of great time with the story, which will drag on forever kind of like the Anna Nicole thing, because they'll be a fight over her money. Since I doubt, that they'll put her on ice, let her decay and fight over her body, it will be nice, because the press will move on to somebody else with issues a little more quickly this time around. I wonder, if Paris and Lindsay will show up drunk and get into a cat fight at her funeral?

Lighter Dusk says Alright, I admit it...My name is Lighter Dusk, and I love watching Britney's slow maddening spiral into oblivion. This is the gretest celebrity disaster...maybe ever! I mean Michael Jackson is a mess, no doubt, but at least we had to wait half-a-decade before he even started to go loony tunes. Britney seemed to go from the top of the charts to the gutter in what felt like months. It's been truly enthralling for all fans of the celebretard...but it's even better for music fans! Maybe next time they'll think twice about what blond piece of fluff they crunch out a bunch of pre-fabricated, overproduced pop hooks for and attatch to her "young hotness" with the intention of both making money and, get this, creating a credible musician. Ha! Let's be honest, Britney was never the second coming of Madonna...she was just a hillbilly. A pretty hillbilly, maybe even a marketable hillbilly, but not a musician. She was a sixteen year old with innocent sex appeal that could be taught, coreographed and trained like a monkey to perform for a record label. If this had been any other hillbilly, we wouldn't be having this conversation...it would just be one more sad, crack addicted, bad mother from Alabama story. But thanks to major record labels and their big bucks...this hillbilly got mainstream media attention and tons of money...neither of which she was in any position to handle...and we get to watch! Somedays I feel so lucky...it's sad that it's likely to come to it's logical depressing conclusion soon ("rehab or death"...the new rock 'n roll motto). I wonder what Hannah Montana is up to... -Dusk

Lighter Dusk says Let's see...kids taken away from her...career spiraling into hell...lost any sense of attractiveness she once had...addicted to drugs...mocked by the media and the public at large...put into a mental institution...and best of all, the jury found that douche-bag supreme K-Fed was a better parent than her...if she's laughing, I'd hate to see what makes her cry. And if money can make all of those problems go away...then why haven't they? Don't support Britney...she's a joke, and the only thing she has worth laughing at is herself, and the mistakes she's made in the public eye. Just be happy that we all get to watch the ship sink without having to be on board. If you want to blame somebody for Britney's woes...check out her family/management team. They managed to screw up Spears #1, and it looks like lil' Jamie Lynn isn't even waiting to get famous before tying an anchor to herself and going down as well (maybe I'm to keyed up on this subject, but damn...don't support the stupid) -Dusk

Lighter Dusk says Ah...I see. Sorry, I guess when it comes to the Spears family Tragical Comedy (or is that Comical Tragedy) I can't drop WPM's fast enough. I gotta admit though...this Hannah Montana (whatever it is she does) seems like a prime candidate for the same sort of story...pretty young blond girl being pushed hard by music labels...she's probably the next to drop (and no one give me the "Disney" thing...take a look at how messed up the Olson Twins ended up.) Anyhoo, allow me to take back all of my vitriol...well not all of it, just the unnecessary parts. -Dusk

Brian McNevin says If the press here in the United States wasn't owned by the rich, we'd probably hear too much about what is really going on. People can't afford health care, and the planet is getting warmer. So, they call crap like this news, and shove it down people's freaking throats. After she kills herself, they'll move on to another story, that is just as meaningless!
