Porter Wagoner Ailing ; Hospitalized

Porter Wagoner, an enduring country music star of Grand Ole Opry fame, has been hospitalized for an 'undisclosed ailment' and is in serious condition. After checking in earlier this week for observation, his condition has worsened. The 80 year old Wagoner's publicist has refused to give details. In July 2006, the country music star was hospitalized for two weeks after suffering a stomach aneurism, but it has not been confirmed if it relates to Porter's predicament.??Porter in one of his trademark rhinestone suits??Porter moved to Nashville and joined the Grand Ole Opry in 1957. Accredited as the man who discovered Dolly Parton, the duo performed together for many years before Dolly went it on her own. Perhaps best know for his Porter Wagoner Show ran on syndicated television from 1960 to 1979.On the heels of a revival, Porter signed with ANTI-records this year, an eclectic Los Angeles label best known for alt-rock acts such as Tom Waits, Nick Cave and Neko Case.
