Radiohead has announced they are closely guarding their new album, ??In Rainbows??. They are making a strong effort to prevent any leaks and are not allowing any advance copies for the media and reviewers. The "discbox" package (which contains the album on vinyl and Cd plus a bonus cd) will only be available by mail order from the group's site. It can be pre-ordered now and will be shipped "on or before" Dec. 3. The normal CD will not be in record stores until next year."There will be no advances, promotional copies, digital streams, media sites, etc. Everyone in the world will be getting the music at the same time," explained the group's publicist.??"Leaked" artwork for the album??Radiohead's new music has been characterized by the band as "almost embarrassingly minimal," "sparse with lots of bass," and, more recently, "lush", according to Stanley Donwood, who worked closely with them on the artwork of the new album. The group's frontman, Thom Yorke, described the lyrical concept of the album as, "It's about that anonymous fear thing, sitting in traffic, thinking, 'I'm sure I'm supposed to be doing something else'... it's similar to ??OK Computer??(Parlophone/Capitol) in a way. It's much more terrifying.
