New Jersey's installment of Projekt Revolution, a tour headlined by Linkin Park, which was held at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel featured "less underage drinking" reports Asbury Park Press. Of the 26 people arrested at Wednesday's concert(August 29) only five were cited for underage drinking, a sharp drop from earlier events at the Holmdel center this year when dozens of people under the age of 21 were arrested for drinking alcohol illegally.
??The PNC Bank Arts Center??The New Jersey Turnpike Authority, which owns the amphitheater, is reportedly glad to see the arrest numbers go down, but officials maintain that five arrests is still too many. "There's always a few that are going to slip through the cracks," scoffed spokesman Joseph Orlando of underage drinkers.Four 19-year-olds and a 20-year-old were charged with underage drinking at the concert which featured Linkin Park and My Chemical Romance. Other alleged offenders featured such crimes as eight people charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and one concertgoer was charged with resisting arrest, aggravated assault on a trooper and disorderly conduct. The youngest person arrested was an 18-year-old who was charged with possession of fictitious documents explained Sgt. Jeanne Hengemuhle.
State Sen. Joseph M. Kyrillos Jr. (pictured above), R-Monmouth, has asked a Senate committee to review the center's operations, pushing to make the venue more family friendly."MORE HERE":CH[CH]http://www.app.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=2007708310367
