The loop button on my ipod is such a dangerous thing, cradled in the "Rock It IPod DJ" its a little ironic (and incredibly cliched) to see the robot DJ spinning tight beats like he's playing Grandmaster Flash or M.I.A. when what he's really doing is supplying me with my heroin, which is tragic love songs..."Strange and Beautiful" by Aqualung (which was originally downloaded as "OC Sex Song off of OurTunes)Since I've gotten home for the weekend its mostly be Reggaeton and New Wave blasting from my speaker, but this evening I hopped on the old computer while dipping girl scout cookies in buttercream frosting and watching "The Real World: DENVER"... (shut up I needed an immediate departure from all the Plato and salads that constitute my life)Anyway, I hopped on the old comp and opened up ITunes... lo and behold in the playlists section about a dozen playlists titled with fragments of a thought... all dedicated to my past unrequited love..."hold me and never let go""touch the nape of my neck and tell me it will be all right""just let it go"etc. etc.granted they weren't bad mixes (a lot of Rilo Kiley and Tegan and Sarah in it though) but they were the mindset of a high school girl head over heels with (I realize now) a 21 year old loser who strung her along for over a yearObviously my incredible facial disfigurement turned him off... but that's besides the point because despite my sudden and incredibly embarrassing trip down music memory lane, I managed to miss him...So I listen to the "OC Sex Song" on repeat, to not only remind me of all the sex I'm not having but to also make the longing I feel even more palpable...I swear to God its because I ate like a maniac today I'll get over it
