Chapter 29e: Indie Intelligence--Bloc Party: "Tulips"

Posted over 4 years ago
My favorite indie-Britrock album ever, hands down, is "Silent Alarm" by Bloc Party. It's my appropriate work soundtrack when life gets "worse than loopy" and needs the right song. The best track on there was the U.S. bonus track "Little Thoughts" [which is not only my favorite Bloc Party song but also my #3 favorite song of all time]. But another gem is from the "Little Thoughts" EP, and it's my #2 favorite Bloc Party song. Originally I heard the Minotuar Shock Remix as a bonus track on "Silent Alarm Remixed" [my favorite remix album of all time], but not until recently had I heard the great originalBut anyway, I'll shut up for a moment while you guys get a listen to it...Somehow, this song just seems to remind me so fittingly of my crush who lives in New York... meh......yeah, I love this song. I'm surprised it didn't make "Silent Alarm" and, of course, the "Silent Alarm Remixed" was ace! But "A Weekend In The City?" Sorry but, they lost the map with that one.And on that note, until the next round, Cheers!!~ 'Sunshine'

  1. brittanybf says i wish i was decisive enough to have lists of favorite songs, albums, remixes, as you do. it's just too damn overwhelming for me to even think about! this is a great song, and cute that it reminds you of your NY crush. very nice crush song. do you have a list of those too? that'd be interesting to see. . .
