I have spent a long time feeling justified in my thoughts and opinions. I say this because we can all unfairly judge someone or something now and then. I like to think I’m right most of the time. But the truth is that the best of us can sometimes make mistakes. Here are examples of where I was right and wrong... Let’s start with where I was right. Back when Batman Forever came out everyone was saying how great it was, That Joel Schumaker got it right where Tim Burton went so wrong with Batman Returns. I felt just the opposite. But it took a few years to see what I meant. I swore up and down that Batman Forever was the beginning of the end, that if Joel Schumaker has another shot at directing a Batman movie it will be terrible. Then came Batman & Robin and everyone who knew how I felt started coming to me saying I was right. I finally felt vindicated. Here’s where I was wrong. Love him or hate him I thank God for Zach Braff. If it wasn’t for his love of Remy Zero all I would have ever known of them was the horrible song that kicks off every episode of Smallville. Thanks to Garden State and the inclusion of Fair by Remy Zero I realized how truly wrong I was. They are a great band. I nearly didn’t buy the soundtrack when I saw their name on it. I am truly grateful that I had a momentary lapse in my pig-headedness or I would never have found them. I feel like I did when I wouldn’t listen to Death Cab For Cutie after We Have The Facts And We’re Voting Yes came out because I thought their name sounded like Death Metal for the Barbie set.

Did anyone ever really think Joel Shumacher got the Batman thing right?? I assumed everyone hated that movie as much as i did!!

The general feelings toward Batman Forever was good. They only complained about the nipples on the batsuit. I hated it but only because I am a Frank Miller fan not a Frank Gorshin fan!!!

I just always saw Batman as this cool, dark hero...Jole turned into pure campiness!!

Especially the cartoon sound effects in the 4th movie. At least Christopher Nolan did a damn good job with Batman Begins. I just hope the next one doesn't take it downhill.

Yeah...i am a big Nolan fan...even more so after seeing the Prestige...although I have to tell you, I am a bit skeptical of Heath Ledger as The Joker

I look at like Nic Cage as Ghost Rider or Michael Keaton as Batman or Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. I would have never thought of them playing these iconic characters but now that they have I see it. And Ledger is a good actor. And I loved The Prestige.

So funny...i just posted about Ghost Rider today...i am not a big comic book fan, but that movie looks really well done!

We'll see. It depends on what you think of Daredevil. It was done by the same guy.If you watch the director's cut you may like it but the theatrical cut sucked. They did add the story back in for the director's cut so it worked better.

Uh oh...i hated Daredevil...weak weak weak story...plus I despise Ben Affleck...
My Trusted MOGs
It's ok to hate Affleck but I'm telling you the diector's cut was soooooo much better. Hell, after Pearl Harbor and his brief stint as Jack Ryan I thought I would never watch another Affleck movie but I liked this one. And, as far as Ghost Rider, it is being done by another studio. 20th Century Fox screws things up with comic book movies...Elektra and Fantastic Four, for example.

ok, is anyone else excited about robert downey jr, playing iron man? also, i heart batman and robin cos the smashing pumpkins were on the soundtrack. daredevil was so bad that the directors cut could introduce a new character. and then the new character was only Coolio
My Trusted MOGs
LOL@coolio!!! I am intrigued by Downey as Iron Man....very much so

Yes, Remy Zero is a great band. Cinjun Tate is an amazing singer. They broke up after the cd with the "Superman" song on it, unfortunately, but have recently gotten back together and are working on a new cd. Yea! On their time off from Remy Zero, the Tate brothers recorded the Spartan Fidelity CD. It's really good and you should check it out! Also, Zach Braff seems to have great taste in music, I agree. He also loves another band that I love called Jump, Little Children. They recently broke up too, but maybe he can do something to get them back together like Remy Zero.....? One can only hope!
