"Hello Good Morning" by the all-women up-and-coming rock group Sick of Sarah is beautiful. The drumming swings tightly; the guitar is just right, and the three (3!) well-sung vocal melodies have just enough tension with the chord progression. Its structure feels right. It's not often i find a new rock piece I love. If Alanis Morissette's "Hand in My Pocket" and Avril Lavigne's "Complicated" can be big hits, why can't this? Maybe because the group is making videos of their other songs instead?
Sick of Sarah ("sickofsarahmusic") has been a Mogger since December, but I didn't know about them until last week when they Trusted me. Isn't getting notified of a new Truster even better than getting notified that someone commented? On the surface, their page looked like the typical self-promotion, but their later posts have praised other acts. Their second post, done the first day they joined Mog, uploaded this song "Hello Good Morning," and no one had commented on it. To present a piece of music you have created rather than found, one that is this good: what more could one ask of a Mogger?

I really like your post, Charles. Very well put.
And hooray for finding a band you like, that's also here on MOG and go beyond self-promotion!
Sorry, I meant "goes beyond".
Yes, I could not agree more. I enjoyed learning about these girls after stumbling across their recent post praising Joan Jet. In fact, I've been mulling over a Runaways post in their honor, ever since I got the Runaways disc that post prompted my to buy a couple of days ago. Here's a video they posted of this song too, for those who like visuals with their music...
...and yes getting notified of a new Truster can be the best, often leads to extensively going through someone’s past posts and fun discoveries. However, that anticipation can make the let down of them being "spam" all that much more aggravating.
oops, that a different song, Bittersweet, my bad...
Anna, thank you for comment. I wish I had the wherewithal to be as adventurous exploring new rock as I should be.
waydutch, I forgive you. Am I the only one wondering why they chose to make a video of that song instead of this song? Let us know if you find gems in the Runaways disc.
