Why?1. I just found out, he and I share a birthday: April 10. (Thanks, I just turned 23, and my man Tip is... 37. Wow. One of those elder statesmen of the rap game, I guess.)2. He's the type of cat to just go right ahead and rap over one of the finest beats from J Dilla's unreleased Motown CD (a flip of "Dancing Machine") and then straight put it on his Myspace page as the only song. If this is released any other way, I have not heard about it. Listen! Listen to Dilla (those vocal cut-ups-- as Questlove put it, "the playcount for the dancin machine "Move" [aka make michael throw up] beat on my itunes is still number one at 759 plays. that should say it right there"), listen to Tip! ESSENTIAL!! The bio is highly entertaining reading, as well. He appears to have hijacked his own press...Can't wait for Live at the Renaissance (release date: unknown). Is great hip hop going to save 2007 like it saved 2006???
