First off, anyone wanna bust me for my clever-ass tag?Okay, so read this story on CNN: Lay's death sends Wikipedia reeling. The new internet is quite a thing. Isn't it lovely how, every now and then, it seems to portray a collective mood just as well as a poll? When I first heard of the death of Kenny Boy this morning, I thought to myself, "Hm, I wonder if he did himself in." Apparently some other folks thought the same thing, but were unhappy with just thinking it.

  1. LambCurry666 says Busted. But seeing that he did not stand trial, where does he go? Does he slide by the wayside? Or ... does he just die?

  2. NightHawk777 says The first thing I thought was suicide too. I hate to think that because if you know anybody who has done that, it's usually a very bad thing for all their family and others. AS I understand it, the guy had a heart attack or something. He seemed kind of old now that I think about it.

  3. agntdoctorAndrew says Thanks for the comment. Man, this is how out of touch I am, even being addicted to the internet. I didn't know that had happened.

  5. Nicklaus Dunderslap says Well, since he's dead, he can't appear in front of an appeals court to exercise his right to appeal all the way to the Supreme Court, so he can't be tried any further in a criminal case. And since you're innocent until proven guilty, he will continue to be innocent, since he can't be tried. Which means that his estate could keep all his remaining money and property. However, the government and citizens (like those that lost their jobs when Enron failed) can still bring suit against his estate in civil court. So while Lay gets away with no criminal record, it's VERY possible that his wife will have to pay/ turn over their house and other investments. So while it may look like to some that he pulled some Death-of-a-Salesman-save-my-family shit, it's more like he just doomed his wife to a lifetime of litigation and slowly giving up all her money.
