I'm on iTunes! I'm on Rhapsody!

Posted over 3 years ago

My latest album, THE LIGHT TOUCH (have you heard about it?), is now available for purchasing on iTunes for $5.94. That's cheaper than most albums, 'cause it's only six songs, but what a six song wallop it is.

It's also on Rhapsody:

And I shouldn't say this, but with your free 25 plays, you can listen to the WHOLE ALBUM FREE. Yeah. That doesn't make me much money, does it? But if you want a COPY... well, that doesn't help. CDbaby's still selling it:

And then, of course, there's iTunes.

GO! GO! GET IT!

Will remind you about my show, again, soon.

I have a subscription to Rhapsody - if I loop your tunes through the weekend, will you be able to buy a sandwich? ;)

Hope you get tons of traction, and I will check back in after a good listen to it.

    Cheers,

    Van

That was fast. I'm at CDBABY now but so far none of the other companies have uploaded the EP.

I will go buy you album at CDBABY today. If I forget I will do it tomorrow.
    If I forget............................
Seriously though.........I look forward to it and now I finally have a few dollars to spend.

Perhaps for a totally new post: but after listening to your really fine EP, I realized a few things - in this order:

Spencer Owen is much more than a "...talented, and hidden, California gem..."

Spencer Owen needs to spend more time in the studio.

Spencer Owen needs more info on the web about him.

Spencer Owen's music is much more mature than his 24 years.

Spencer Owen truly does defy description, in so much as Rhapsody has Similar Albums listed that include from Jessica Simpson, Danity Kane, John Mellencamp, and Maroon 5... so Rhapsody doesn't know what to do with Spencer Owen, and/or they have a _really bad recommendation engine.  I suspect both.

Spencer Owen indeed defies categorization, and even comparison, however, he sounds - to these ears, like a cross between the very best of Gentle Giant, They Might Be Giants, Luna, the Shins, Todd Rundgren, and maybe even a little bit of the love child of Joe Jackson and Steely Dan...

vannatta: My friend (in the style of John McCain), that made my Monday morning. Thank you. I'm quite heartened by that response.

MATHIRIO (ooh, nice acronym): By all means, no rush, but much appreciated. Yr stuff didn't make it up there yet?

Mine arrived at CDBABY last week but so far it has not shown at any other sites.

I hear you in terms of disliking categorizations. I've been asking people for help but they have a hard time coming up with names. I'm really having trouble with this so I did not as any bands to the "sounds like" list.
Although my music probably sounds like a lot of things.........just hard to focus on that when all I hear is my own songs.

Vannatta: I think your comment was extremely helpful and to the point.

How come you're not selling mp3s at CDBABY? Shipping CDs from the US takes time, costs extra money...........money I would rather pay you............and sometimes customs add a little extra.
