WHERE THE HOKEY POKEY "IS" WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT

Amazon is also a Social Network... Duh.

I have been using Amazon for a while now, but I am loving it more than ever. I mean forget the fact that the site is warehouse looking and an attempt to validate the site produces absolutely disgusting results, Amazon puts it together nicely in a lot of interesting ways – from a social perspective. My purchases have been way up recently because I have been buying all my music through Amazon. I have now been scanning my album art and putting it into my iTunes collection as well as uploading Soundtrack-for-Life Customer Images into the Amazon database. I have found friendly competition on the site with people that scan and upload art from artists that I like. What is interesting here, however, is that it takes some time to scan the album art and you actually have to own it to scan it. So, I deduct that these people are usually pretty big fans of the music they are scanning and uploading so you can find people that are passionate about similar artists. You can then buddy them and see their information.I have been scanning all my art as I reorganize my collection of these winter months. I find it relaxing and enjoyable. As I said in my previous post, I am replacing broken cases as well. Amazon crops the artwork to something around 500px so you are not getting my super high-res scans, but they are probably better for you if you have a slow computer. As I said, I am the iTunes GameMaster and my collection is getting much more organized and the new scans are really helping out. I already have multiple images for every single song in my library, but it is nice to have them all on record with the proper file names as well as having the super high-res shots in iTunes. Actually with Christmas coming up I have not been buying music in the past few weeks, but rather spending my time enjoying and enhancing my current collection. I’m giving a lot of love to my Long-tail playlists too.Hit me up on Amazon at Soundtrack-for-Life. My profile still needs a lot of work obviously, but I'm getting to it.

  1. Jess Horrible says haha... you tried to validate amazon? who would do such a silly thing? that poor sad site was built in the 90s... amazing that it holds together so well nonetheless.

  2. Soundtrack-for-Life says Exactly. That was my point - the site sucks. It is nice that MOG is built really well and takes advantage of Ruby technology.
