Today is Ella Fitzgerald Day... all together now, "A-Tisket..."

Today, the USPS unveiled it's Ella Fitzgerald stamp at Lincoln Center in New York. You can read about the stamp more "here":http://mog.com/lesterjonze/blog_post/37522, thanks to lesterjonze. Along with the stamp, Mayor Bloomberg announced today as Ella Fitzgerald Day. So to celebrate, everybody cue up your favorite Ella song tonight at 7pm EST. I don't know what that will accomplish, but everybody could use a little Ella every now and then, right?

    Cody B says Ella, so unassuming, so brilliant. I heard an interview with her son who said she would be embarassed by the stamp, not in a bad way, but she wasn't one to seek awards or attention. She just loved what she did and woke up every morning wanting to sing, he said.
