MUSIC SIGNPOSTS ON THE WEB'S LONELY ROAD

Artist:

Roger Waters continues his Dark Side of the Moon Tour with additional US dates and a headlining spot at Coachella. According to a report in LiveDaily today, this tour features essentially the same act that Waters has toured with for the last 2 years which includes 2 sets plus encores and top-notch lighting and sound. Even the giant pink pig!

LiveDaily reports:

The first set features selections from throughout the singer's career, including various songs from his Pink Floyd days as well as material from his most recent solo album, 1992's "Amused to Death."

The second set will feature Waters and a full band performing Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" from start to finish. The album was issued in 1973, and remained on The Billboard 200 album chart for a record-breaking 15 years.

I wish I could catch one of these shows, but it's doubtful. As cool a show as it would be, though, I'd personally rather hear him perform "Amused to Death" from start to finish - or "Wish You Were Here" for that matter.

What the hell is Roger Waters' problem? Why doesn't he just rejoin Gilmour and the rest and do it like every other reunion act does - and keep it faithful to the original gig. I know many of his songs dealt with ego and personality and how fame and fortune changes a person - well then, grow up and get over it!

@tossedpix - He's publicly expressed interest in getting back together. Gilmour and Wright aren't interested. Nick Mason's joined him on some gigs.

The show stands on its own merits. Granted DSTOM is missing Gilmours voice and guitar. It gains in other areas and it's presented way better than I'd ever seen, the first being 1971. He's done a stellar job with this tour, leagues above any prior.
