San Diego's Payable On Death parted ways with longtime guitarist Marcos Curiel in 2004 for unknown reasons the band called "just business." When the guitarist who replaced Curiel decided to leave as well, P.O.D.'s drummer invited Curiel to come jam with them. One thing led to another and P.O.D. is reunited with its original lineup and recording a new album.

Curiel says that playing with P.O.D. fit like "an old shoe." According to Billboard:
It fits perfect and it just works. It was as if I hadn't even left." As for the new material, "The songs sound a lot more refined," Curiel says. "At one point, we were all about going off all the time. Now it's more about trying to write the best song and inspiring people."
Not only that, but Columbia Records apparently made them a deal that allows them to take their time with the record and release when it is finished. Lucky for rock fans, the album is finished and slated for release April 8th. The album is titled When Angels & Serpents Dance and Billboard calls it "big rock" and reports:
As a chief musical contributor to "When Angels & Serpents Dance," Curiel describes the new album as being "very personal to me," pointing to acoustic cut "Tell Me Why," which is "basically out anti-war song." Another track, "The End of the World," is "a song I came up with while watching the news," the guitarist explains. "I'm a dad with a four-year-old son, and I was like, "Man, the future looks bleak all of the time.'"
The album also features guest appearances from Suicidal Tendencies lead singer Mike Muir and Helmet's Paige Hamilton as well as the Marley Sisters.
After the album's release in April, P.O.D. will tour North America and then the world. Get ready!

Dont know why....but this band has always been a "guilty pleasure" for me. I guess cause Im not into a whole lot of commercial/radio friendly stuff. I kinda hope they tour...cause I might go...or not. Excited for the new album though. Good job setting aside stupid differences fellas. Everybody's gotta eat....
