The Slits Announce US Tour & Play Star-Studded Punk Party
-
Artist:
Veteran punks The Slits have inspired a myriad of musicians and trends in their 29 year career. Most recently, The Slits are credited as the inspiration for Chloe Sevigny's new line of clothing. Last Monday, the band performed at Sevigny's party and Webster Hall in NYC was jam-packed with famous hotties like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Joanna Newsom with Andy Samberg, Seth Meyers and more. The Slits also have a jam-packed year ahead of them which includes the reissue of their 1981 release Return Of The Giant Slits, a performance at SXSW, a full U.S. tour and maybe a new EP released before they hit the road. Word is that an EP titled Hated is on its way. Here is the tour schedule from HARP mag which has loads more details about everything The Slits are involved in this year.
