Well I'm new here, so I figured I'd just mention what my favorite albums of the new year are so far. First off is Hissing Fauna, Are You The Destroyer? by Of Montreal. This is my first real exposure to them, and it is an awesome album. Just pure pop bliss.Next is Year of Desolation, which I heard of through metalreview.com. I decided to download the album cause it got a good review, and I listened to it while running and it was awesome. Great thrash that I could actually get into. Great riffs and top notch song writing, so it stays interesting. It's even got some death and metalcore type vocals, so it's got great variety.Next up is Therion's new double disc venture, Gothic Kabbalah. At firs this album kinda threw me off and didn't interest me too much, because of the slower songs and rock influences in the songs and vocals. However after listening to it carefully (while running, of course), it really touched me and now I love it. The song I have uploaded here is one that really stands out to me, and I love it. It shows the new style, yet it is still great, and even better than old Therion in a way.I ended up buying all of these albums, even though I tried before buying. I always buy the stuff worthy of my money.
