WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Stick a fork in me because I am DONE!

I thought it would be healthy to reflect on what I've learned in the past four months, much of it music-related.American Constitutional Law: "Antonin Scalia's motto is lay off that whiskey and let that cocaine be!":http://mog.com/Smooth_Hegemon/blog_post/30126American Journalism: Good news for people who love bad newsIntro to Ballet: I am capable of being a slacker.Seminar on the History of East Africa: A brand new colony.Recent US Foreign Policy: The Cold War, what is it good for? To justify fun spy games and coups.Astronomy 201: Stars, Galaxies and the Universe: Astro classes sound easy but are really physics nightmares. Wolf in sheep's clothing.

  1. deadmandeadman says HMMMMMM. Your constitutional law prof is colorful in his descriptions. Sounds to these ears like one who has an agenda, an' if i had to guess, i would wager that he doesn't embrace the court's newly resurgent conservatism. Am I right?

  2. Smooth Hegemon says Colorful he is, DM. When he made that comment he was actually referring all the way back to the Marshall court of the mid 19th century. If I had to guess as to his political orientation, I would say he's Libertarian, but it's hard to tell. I just think he's like a very smart version of my grandpa who used to also say crazy things.

  4. deadmandeadman says Speeking as a grandpa....that's what we're here for, dispensing wisdom wrapped in riddles, bathos wrapped in humor, guidence wrapped in example. "i used to cry because i had no shoes, until i saw the man with NO STEREO AT ALL!"

  5. Smooth Hegemon says RGM: I know that is from Family Guy but...WTF? dm: I loved my zaide, and _love_ the saying! His one vice was playing cards, and I remember when I was about 10 he stopped playing. I asked him why and he said, "Can't see well enough to cheat anymore."

  13. extraordinarypoems says I love the Calvin and Hobbes cartoon! (Side note: there is a dentist in Thomson, Georgia named Calvin Hobbs. I hope I can have some fun with him at some point.) I wonder if he is a collector of the cartoon. I have "Homicidal Psycho Jungle Cat: A Calvin and Hobbes Collection" in my office. Too funny.
