MUSIC SIGNPOSTS ON THE WEB'S LONELY ROAD

(43)

Country Music Telvision (CMT) is getting into the TV movie business.

Maggie Gyllenhaal, Jeff Bridges and Robert Duvall will all star in the country music drama, "Crazy Heart."

T-Bone Burnett, will be writing the film's original music and soundtrack.

The plot focuses on an unlucky and downtrodden, alcoholic

country music singer (Bridges) who attempts to get his life and career back on track with the help and love of a female reporter (Gyllenhaal).

The film is supposed to start next month around Santa Fe, N.M and Bridges will actually perform some of the original songs in the film.

"The SteelDrivers earn their name not only with Chris Stapleton's hard, hoarse shout but also with the relentless attack of Tammy Rogers' fiddle and Mike Henderson's mandolin…the group has galvanized into a force in bluegrass and beyond."

Seems like a great cast and very interesting story.  I haven't heard the news yet.

"drinkin' dark whiskey & telling white lies..."

Now, that combo doesn't seem to bring out a whole lotta love...but it sure can be fun.

I see you officially entered MOG with a post.  You are no longer a MOG virgin, congrats.
It sounds like this drama has quite an interesting and somber plot; I hope it has a happy ending.
Stay away from the dark whiskey and crossin' "yer heart"-that can only lead to trouble ha.
Looking forward to seeing what else you've got...

Cheers~

when you're working on a movie set somewhere in new mexico...

you'd be surprised how much love could come out of a bottle of dark whiskey.

Hmm.  I suppose no matter how you get it "love is all you really need" right?

"Working on a movie set somwhere in new mexico," so any chance there's a connection with this "Crazy Heart" drama?

we'll thanks for stopping on by, ms nella...

i'm doing such a lousy job of managing my mog page...

i didn't even see you walk in...

>>Looking forward to seeing what else you've got...<<

we'll, i'll dig into my trusty old bag of tricks, to see what i can come up with...

in the meantime...

yes, love is the answer... indeed it is.

some football player once said... that sex is the cure-all.

but that's probably because he never experienced getting smacked in the head,,,

with a big fat dose of love.

I have no real answer to your empty space issues, but I will share with you one of my favorite Story People stories that could give you a more exciting answer than what the real answer probably is anyway:

Often, I write all day long with white ink on white paper, late into the night, until it is all I can do to feel the letters curving to earth from the tip of the pen & then, I fall asleep. Dreaming of running, or maybe driving in a car the color of water & I wake the next day remembering nothing & I gather the stack of paper & apen of black on the desk in front of me & the words begin to dance over the page like long legged insects across a still lake & the words in white whisper behind & underneath the new day. If there is any secret to this life I live, this is it: the sound of what cannot be seen sings within everything that can. & there is nothing more to it than that.

Maybe you're writing in white ink and your words are disappearing into whispers OR you're writing in black ink and your words are dancing away?  Maybe you should try blue ink?

Oh, and it was a pleasure stopping by.  Thanks for having me. ha  C u around.
