People are so negative

I've been on so many websites of late that just totally bad mouth several bands that I listen to- 30 Seconds to Mars and Society 1. Don't get me wrong, I don't really care whether someone likes one band or another. I hate many many bands, but I usually dislike bands based on their musical merit not whether I think the lead singer is a douche or not.I think people have the misconception that because you started out doing one thing that obviously you can't do another. Ok, I guess there is credibility behind that because look at Eddie Murphy, Bruce Willis, and more recently Paris Hilton; although, I don't think she has a starting point (career). But yeah, some people honestly don't need to ever step foot out of their main jobs, but for some there is talent.The running theme I seem to hear is that of being 'hardcore' or 'real', and I'm always left wondering what does that mean? These same people love Tool, Metallica, and sometimes even Britney Spears yet, for some reason these two bands are just shit because it appears that they are putting on a show- I thought it was what they got paid for,who knew. Another running current is that the live performances sucks...well,I believe that just makes it more entertaining. hmmm,yeah that's all i have to say
