MOG MOG

MUSIC SIGNPOSTS ON THE WEB'S LONELY ROAD

A thousand words is worth a video ... and so here's a thousand words or so for the song "Slow Is the New Fast" by Shinjuku Zulu, from the Various Chimeras CD (at CDBABY.COM and at iTUNES )

If you want to read the text completely you have to pause or manually scroll through the video. Or just watch it a few times at regular speed... each time you see it, you'll pick up on different words and perhaps get a different experience of the video.

It is, obviously, about speed, time, and perception. I like the idea of having to interrupt/stop the song to get something out of it, while still being able to just follow the karaoke-style large lyric words up top...

PS. There's a slightly different version up there too, but this one you can watch in higher resolution if you go to Youtube HERE

Vocals on "Slow Is the New Fast" are by Shankhini. Also, new chillout compilation CD "DXLR8" by Shinjuku Zulu and K.I.A. feat. "Mrs. Major Tom", "Dubmarine" etc. mp3s HERE and at iTUNES HERE
