Country legend HANK THOMPSON has passed away. THOMPSON canceled his remaining tour dates last month after being hospitalized and was then released to hospice care. The 82-year-old was suffering from lung cancer. THOMPSON has 29 hits that reached the Top 10 between 1948 and 1975, including "Humpty Dumpty Heart", "Soft Lips", and "A Six Pack To Go." His last show was in WACO, TX on OCTOBER 8th and the was declared HANK THOMPSON DAY by TEXAS Gov. RICK PERRY and WACO Mayor VIRGINIA DuPUY. I saw Hank perform at the Benton County Fair in 1977. He was GREAT!
