As much as I joke, tease and praise, Prince, it is all LOVE. For my Princey POO POO is 50 today. Yes, 50 years old.
Naah he is not OLD but young in heart and he can still dance his little heart out.
In honor of his Purple royalness on www.last.fm we are having a Prince marathon in his honor with tributes and shout outs to him all day but you know for me everyday is a Prince love day but this one is extra special for Prince is 50!

What more can I say to a man who has influenced me in my music listening habits and how I appreciate music. I have been a loyal fan of the Purple wonder since I was 6 years old.
Prince made his American Bandstand debut on January 26, 1980 which was my 6th birthday. That is really bizarre and wonderful for me to know that!

It was amazing...i had always been a fan of his music, but live was just INCREDIBLE! I have been to a LOT of shows, and I have never seen anyone own a stage like that guy...so so glad I got to see him

@satisfiedmind2 - I flew to London from New York City with my mother to see Prince in September 2007. It was worth every penny I saved to see him! I went to 2 concerts and 2 aftershows. He BLEW my mind. Experiencing Prince Live during his Musicology Tour turned me into a bigger fan. Obviously the man has been anointed by a higher power. I have not seen a lot of LIVE music shows but his stands out even more than Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson and I have seen them more than Prince! I am a true appreciator of musicians who can rock LIVE!

i saw him live @ COACHELLA also this year...and was blown away!!! i always liked pirnces' music, but hence was not a huge fan to speak of....he totally changed my mind!!!

Once you hear Prince LIVE you are addicted. The man is even better LIVE and that is why so many of us crave to find bootlegs or him performing his HITS live because it is BETTER than the studio albums (in our humble opinion). There is a box sex that you may be interested in checking out called, One Nite Live which is perfect but it is more on his slow jams. But WOW, it is fantastically beautiful and baby making material! BE CAREFUL!

@jaye - you are blessed to have two healthy children. One serving our country and another about to be a high school graduate. I have not experienced motherhood yet but I know it is a wonderful experience my mother and many mothers cherish. Maybe I will be as lucky as you?
