    SerenityLife,

At least Prince is out there again. I don't normally listen to him as he's a bit out there for ol' me! Many a troubled star has said that they will be putting out an album soon but never have--take for instance Britney and Whitney. Anytime they are asked what are you doing, they answer I am in the studio working on an album. With both ladies, it's been years. How much talent do you have to have to put an album out? Like screwing in light bulbs, it should be easy without having a posse telling you different stories. Oh well, I am being a grumpy old man here!

Hope you get to hear more of Prince!

And by the bye, is it too early for birthday wishes?

    Yours,

    musikfriend

Wow, that's a HUGE step for Prince to be starting up a new website. Kudos for him as well as having 3 albums ready to go. Exciting! And the website looks very cool too. Liking his version of 'Crimson & Clover'.

@deadmadeadman - thank you for enjoying my musical rambles. I know I can go overboard but it is sincere. I don't know sometimes if I come across well with my enthuisasim but it is authentic 8) xxooxo I wish you could see my face when I actually meet some of these people I meet, I act so cool when inside my stomach is doing belly fliips. 8)

@musikfriend - thank you so much for considering Prince's work. What I enjoy about him is his varitey throughout his career. His music has allowed me not to get boxed into listening to one genre. I appreciate that. I always try to keep and open mind and I give him all credit for that. I was never a Britney fan except for a few tracks and I understand your point. Whitney Houston lost me some time ago with her crazy antics which I think affected her musicial genius but her first album was my favorite. It's a classic in my eyes. None of her other albums (in my humble opinion) measured up to her first. Thank you for the birthday wishes! You are not a grumpy old man! I enjoy your love here on MOG!

@augusts1 - exactly. That is why I almost lost it when I saw a WEBSITE with his name, image, music and info. I've been screaming my head off for the past 12 hours. AHHHHHHHHHHH. So I guess he realized he can't stop the madness but be a part of it?! Shoot - it's a new day and age for everything. Now, he better go on tour soon so we can play with him again! xoxo Big hugs xoxo

MOG just ate my post. Prince is an astounding talent; I have a live unauthorized club date from somewhere in Europe and direct from soundboard which contains a very credible version of the jazz standard, Caravan. Of course, I no longer traffic in bootlegs, won't do it any more unless I absolutely can not help  myself. Best wishes on your belly button birthday, wish I was 35 again, but I would probably make the same damn mistakes all over again. I did see a discounted coffee table book with some CD's about Prince at Barnes and Noble. Can't imagine calling him Princy Poo but that's just me.

@berkeleybob - hmm..I am feeling on the issues on the unauthorized recordings 8) I don't eiither. I think we are all guilty of that and like you, "..unless I aboslutely can not help myself."

Hehe on my belly button birthday. Never heard of that reference. Makes me think I should get it pierced? But naah - that would hurt.

Oh, really? Coffee Table Book with CDs?! Okay I have to check that out.

I'm silly. and a FEMALE. I can get away with it. I don't think a dude could! HA! Big hugs and thanks for the love.

If you drink coffee in church basements and follow the twelve-step path of AA, as I have for many years, you celebrate your sobriety date and your natal birthday or "belly button" birthday. The pay off is you get two birthdays  a year. In any event, warm fuzzies for a dedicated Prince fan.

@berkeleybob I never knew that. I sometimes drink coffee in church basements if I go to church (please don't think I am a sinner but it is after service and I have not been n awhile : X). Ah...I like that. Thank you for the education. I can't believe I am now seeing your response. xoxo
