WHERE THE HOKEY POKEY "IS" WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT

Singer Chante Moore proves that Rodney Jerkins used her HIT song for J-Lo

Posted 7 months ago

At first I thought she was pulling my leg but I have always adored Chante Moore, then when I heard her song and J-Lo's song, I heard enough proof that Rodney Jerkins re-worked his song for Chante for J-Lo. And, I even heard the similar beat in Monica & Brandy's Hit, The Boy is Mine.

Chante Moore: P. Diddy Stole My Hit Song for J.Lo - NPR News and Notes

Here are the songs in question:

Jennifer Lopez - If I Had Your Love

Chante Moore's - If I Gave Love

HA! Someone took Chante's song and dubbed it over Jennifer Lopez's video. It proves the point! And hands down, Chante has a STRONGER, forceful and authentic voice. Sorry but I cannot say the same for Jennifer Lopez.

I even hear an influence of Brandy & Monica's song, "The Boy is Mine" (stealing of chords and string arrangements but played in different keys)

This is the aspect of the music industry that really annoys me because music is stolen and influences so many. Ususally the lesser talented artist makes all the bucks and the virtual unknown true talent remains true talent but NO money! : /

Because i don't know if people that are comment this understand a thing i just said, i will translate...

It is perfectly normal that is increasingly beginning to hear music with sounds very similar, because some are really plagiarized other by coincidence since the musical universe there are millions and millions of songs, if we look there are many that are played with exactly the same chords and which are given almost the same melodies. However I must say that moves around very good people who, either for lack of inspiration or by the pressure they feel by having to launch a disc that it will merely copy is the so-called system COPY & PASTE.

@soundwaves that is so true. I miss though the originality in music though. Even though we can all play similar chords play with different emphasis. But, I know  many artists are influenced by a variety of sounds which they may borrow which is fine but don't blantantly take something and not turn it into your own sound and mood.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with me!
