I adore classical music for it relaxes me and gives me a comfort that I am loved. We all have reasons why we are connected to certain types of music.

For me, classical has always been in my life for I used to study ballet and play the piano and violin as a kid. So, there are many reasons why I appreciate and adore classical music.

One of my favorite albums by Yo-Yo Ma is his collaboration with Bobby McFerrin on their album, "Hush." See here => Yo-Yo Ma & Bobby McFerrin - Hush

Listen: Hush Little Baby

I play this album a lot for it calms me before I am going to do some serious reading or work on a project that I am going to tackle.

Today, I was on Yo-Yo Ma's myspace page and saw that Yo-Yo Ma was interviewed by CNN. I am very excited to listen to his new CD. I am curious to hear Yo-Yo Ma's interpretation of the sounds for Christmas. I know it will be heavenly like everything he always plays for his audience.

Here is part of his interview on CNN:

Yo Yo's base of operation is here at Brown  U.   He gives infrequent informal concerts/talks on his ongoing Silk Road Project.  Fascinating stuff.

@deadmandeadman - wow, I did not realize that he was at Brown U as his base of operation. I would love to see him perform live. In the CNN interview it said that he lives in Cambridge, MA so I wonder if he gives a lot of concerts in the area there too? Oh, yes, I definitely love the work he has done with the Silk Road Project. I love how he connects to so many cultures through his work. I am always fascinated how he can transfer you into serenity with the strike of his bow. To have power like that is amazing to me. Thank you for sharing!
