UPDATE: Show went well and she even shared a story about her brother, Prince. Yep, the Purple one is her brother! Please don't compare them for they have their own totally different styles. Thank you! I try not to mention him in my posts about her but in my last post, Ivylander said that she sounded like him. I honestly did not think so. But, if you think that just know they have the same parents! 8)

I'd have to agree w/Ivylander, she does sound like her brother. Of course she has her own style but there are alot of similarities. I wonder what it would be like to be related to a huge star like Princey Poo Poo? I'm sure it's not easy.
@augusts1 - LMAO - true. She does to a certain extent but I hear something else in her heart when she sings, "Joy" I dunno. Maybe I am biased because I do not want to hear Princey Poo Poo but then again I SO know the stress when a sibling or parents outshines you. I go through this A LOT myself =(.
Talking about being related to a star, did you see the Wimbledon game with Serena an Venus? Ouch, Serena was kinda not happy after the match but she played it off.

Naw, I don't have cable so I don't watch TV(I refuse to pay the exorbitant price for cable & there's so much crap on it, plus I just zone out when I've had it in the past, getting even less done than I usually would, lol). I have a TV but it's only to watch dvds on.
I feel you but I am such a news buff that I have to have my CNN, MSNBC and local cable news. I listen though TV more than actually look at it. Images of the craziness especially the celebrity news wants to BARF!
Wimbledon was actually on NBC! I was surprised because in the past it was on HBO and I did not have HBO.
I am bad too because I need to watch all these DVDs I have. I cut back on buying DVDs because I just buy and never watch. Library for me!!
I just re-listened to this Tyka Nelson interview and she said Prince tried to help her to stop using pot and he told her," why do you think it is called DOPE Dummy!" OOh, I would have smacked him and tickled him! He loves her and has been supportive of her in getting help for he addictions where he has sent her to treatment centers. I was impressed with this gesture. That is a brother who cares!
