After this post [or go here http://mog.com/SerenityLife/blog_post/167457 ]I did on the Debarge family, today, I saw that Bunny Debarge did an interview and she is answering some of those questions I raised in my previous blog post.
This is a rare singing clip I found of her on youtube today:
The interview is 45 minutes and I am in the process of listening to it now but she did say it was extremely hard being raised as a biracial child at a time that it was not normal to see biracial families in the 1960s.
She discusses much more but she does address that one issue that I had.
I definitely want to get her book, The Lost Ones [oops, The Kept Ones - MY BAD!]. I wish I had known about the live interview because I definitely would have called in!

@augusts1 - the first part was interesting. I think I am going to listen to part 2 now as I clean up my desktop. Very interesting. I am intrigued. Hope to learn more for she really wants to get the DeBarge story told as a movie!! I was like now that would be wonderful!

Thanks Jenn for your support! I went to the blog and that was so sweet of you. The name of my book is called "The Kept Ones" just FYI. Thanks again girl and have a blessed!I was so happy to receive this from her because to see a childhood idol appreciate a little fan like me shows the value that she has in connecting with her fan base!

I listened to part 1 and 2. I sorta really felt for Bunny when she talked about the break up of not just the group but also the family, you can tell she wants them to reunite badly.
@mszenda - I totally agree. I pray a real reunion will happen. We will see. I listened to part 2 and was touched too.
