WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

why I adore STING - he never limits himself!! (Soundtrack - The Living Sea)

Posted 5 months ago

A few years ago I was playing on a website and heard the sounds of a beautiful Spanish guitar. A few weeks after I heard the music on the web, then I heard it on TV (on an arts channel) and realized it was STING!! STING playing the spanish guitar.

Listen here:

(As I wrote this blog I realized that this song is on ANOTHER Sting CD that I do not have which I just ordered, The Soul Cages. For me to appreciate songs and how an artist composes them I love to hear all the songs around them. An album is a story to me and instead of having a bit, I need the entire thing!)

It was not until 2 weeks ago did I realize the real name of the song which is, Saint Agnes and the Burning Train, and that it was in the movie, The Living Sea. Immediately I went to amazon.com and orderd the CD. I had to have the CD in my hand which I am so thankful and grateful for. I am enjoying every minute of the CD and I pray that I can find more treasures like this from Sting that I honestly was not knowledgeable about.

At the time the movie came out I was in my *own* world so I can see how I did not know about this lovely treasure in Sting's rich career.
