So supposedly singer Maxwell's new album is debuting July 7, 2009.

I am going to PRAY and I am saying this with all sincerity. Like most fans, I have been waiting patiently (okay, I lied IMPATIENTLY) since 2007 when I found out maxwell was releasing an album supposedly that year. Then, I was told 2008. Nope so now in July 2009.

Maxwell is performing at the Essence Music Festival on July 4th in New Orleans so this is a great way for his fans to enjoy him LIVE and to get a CD around the same time.

I am not going to the festival but I will support Maxwell's work and get a CD!! Honestly, after seeing maxwell twice here in New York City and almost going broke in the process that was enough. (I spent a lot in tickets but that included some insanity in DC where I missed going to the concerts there : X) I had second row seats at his last concert in New York City and it was worth every CENT. I think my support with my blogs and trying to stay patient is enough! Don't you think?

People have always asked me my favorite song by Maxwell and I have always said, "Softly Softly" and "Let's Not Play the Game." Now, I can add his voice in Nelson George's, "To Be a Black Man."

My favorite album is his MTV Unplugged album. I still get shivers and shivers and more SHIVERS when I hear it. Some people say some music equates memories for them when they listen to music. His MTV Unplugged album equates memories, experiences, and comfort at a time I needed some comforting music. It's my lullaby for I adore soothing soulful sounds. Also the romance factor for me at the time that album came out (MTV Unplugged) was SKY high. Lordy lordy (that is ALL I am going to say!) : D
