Does age really matter ?

Posted over 2 years ago
I heard that Paolo wrote this about a girl he was going out with when he was 18 and she was 23. He lied at first and told her he was 23 as well but as time went by he couldn't lie to her anymore and finally told her he was only 18 and well... she dumped him. I wonder how I would've reacted..... I mean he did lie to her at the beginning but just the fact that he felt bad about it and couldn't bear lying to her anymore...doesn't that prove your serious in the relationship ? Anyways, putting that aside, 5 years isn't that bad is it ? I mean come on, if she didn't notice it in his personality, why should it matter ?My best friend just started dating a guy who's 5 years younger than her. Yet he's very mature and it doesn't show at all. They're actually a great couple ! I wonder if age difference catches up on you later on in the relationship....Did anyone ever date someone younger than them ? Or older ? And did you encounter any problems ?

  1. amber says I think it depends on the ages not the difference. 5 years is nothing at 40 and 45 but huge at 18 and 23. at least in my opinion. and i've dated older men when i was younger and younger men now that i'm older, so what do i know?

  3. Librarianguish says I dated somebody 12 years younger for several years. At first, the difference didn't really matter so much, but I think that it played more of a part at the end of the relationship.
