Listening to the new Smashing Pumpkins album

First off, let me say that the smashing pumpkins are one of my favorite bands ever, and i've been waiting eagerly for the release of this record since Billy Corrigan said it might happen (more than 2 years ago).I listened to it on the radio tonight. There are definately some cool instrumentals, and there are parts of songs that I like a lot, but ultimately it feels like Billy Corrigan has nothing

I saw Ok Go on Leno tonight. I had heard their name before, but I didn't really know who they were. I wasn't very impressed. Do they write all of their songs to be Volkswagon commercials?I guess a lot of bands do that now. There was a recent article in Spin about how publishing deals (advertisements) are the way bands break these days, and so all the modestly popular indie bands are scrambling
