I thought I'd ask how people are doing to see if I'd get some sort of response. Most of you probably dropped out or something. So, how are you?Now that we're talking, or at least I am, let's talk about some "things."First, I was in a car accident. Not too bad really. An old lady in a rental car ran a stop sign and hit my rear passenger wheel. Then, after an officer says to me "We're not going to cite anyone due to conflicting witnesses," another officer that I never even talked to comes to me and says "We're going to cite you for running the stop sign." I honestly have no reason to lie to you. I didn't run that stop sign, I was almost completely through the intersection when she hit the rear of my car. I have paid a lawyer $750 to get out of a $150 ticket. Do you think I'm a complete idiot to do that? Why would I do that? Maybe because I didn't run the damn stop sign. The lawyer says to me on Monday, "Things aren't looking good. The witnesses are sticking to their story and are saying you were speeding to the stop sign as well." WHAT?! Did they see the wrong car or something because this is not what happened at all. Friday I have my court case where I will lose and have to pay my fine. And then this old lady will feel the need to sue me and break her neck or something. The moral of my first "thing" is: America is a country of injustice.Second, I wrote a post on a new art blog my friend Johnny and I created. It was in response to some videos I took representing my day at Miami University. One video made people a little upset because it was a discussion of this noose art project that had been forcefully removed from the campus. The teacher decided to bring in the University Lawyer to tell the entire class the consequences of taking video in class as if there were some epidemic of video-taking. Needless to say it pissed me off and I wrote a post on this art blog (http://welcometomidgetville.blogspot.com the post is no longer available though). I wrote the post without mentioning names or anything and I said that at the end of the semester I would evaluate these people like they have been able to evaluate me. Then I wrote the title, which is how I usually make a post...because the title summarizes the post. In the post I said something like "Don't go to art school. You will be wildly censored beyond belief." In keeping with this warning of the all-encompassing "you" I wrote the title as "You will be gunned down and murdered in public" meaning "they" will be gunning down "your" freedoms in public as they have mine. Somehow another teacher of mine found this post, let her adviser know, the adviser let my other teacher know and she called the police who took me out of my photography critique and sent me to counseling. They also came to my house later to have me "fill out some paperwork." That's also known as "sign a ticket" because that's all the officer had me do. I paid that ticket for disorderly conduct ($230: $150 fine and $80 court fee) and I had to go through about three grueling weeks of a suspension process. In the end they found me responsible, but chose not to suspend me and are having me write a 5 page paper and be on disciplinary probation for my tenure at the school. The moral of my second "thing": America is a country without freedom.I don't know if there is much more to let you know since the last time I wrote on here. Oh, my final art project in my drawing class had people pissed because it was too controversial and half-assed for them.I used to hate America. But now, I know America is my single greatest enemy.I disown America.
