WHERE THE HOKEY POKEY "IS" WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT

JJ Cale - Rediscovering "5"

Posted over 2 years ago
Ever since I got the JJ Cale/Clapton collaboration, I've been listening to A LOT of JJ Cale - I've always liked his music and I own a number of his albums, but I had gotten into rather a rut in that when I wanted to listen to him I'd cue up _Guitar Man_(a great album in its own right) by default. Over the past couple of weeks, though, I have rediscovered _5_ and I can't tell you how glad I am that I did. It as if the essence, if you will, of JJ Cale's style has been distilled into album form - Strangely compelling...And the perfect album for a lazy Sunday afternoon kicking back with a Sam Adams and the New Yorker...
