I really dig this album...

As the resident music critic for Scoot! Magazine I receive lots of random CDs in the mail, many of them are super-stinky. But this CD is bueno! I'm recommending "I Will Light You on Fire" right now on my profile. The complex rhythms and layers of sound are pleasantly stimulating (especially on Golden Soldiers and "...Fire"). And the pacing and economy of notes in"Nothing's All Right" is brilliant. I hear hints of Grateful Dead and country music in the album, which might scare some people off to read, but I actually dig it, even though I am not a Dead/Country fan. It's sort of how The Band incorporated country into their music and rock fans embraced it.I will Light You on Fire, Nothing's All Right, This is a Test, and Golden Soldiers are all on my iPhone, now.
