311. Matisyahu. Searing South Florida heat.

So, last week I had the amazing opportunity (thanks to my brother for the tickets) to see 311 and Matisyahu!!The cool thing is, I've been a pretty big 311 fan for years ... probably about 11 or 12 ... and this was my first time seeing them in concert. And they were, comepletely, amazing! I was so impressed at their undeniable musical prowess - not that I had any real doubts, mind you. But quite often bands sound loads better on their albums than they do live. Thankfully, 311 did not dissapoint. The syncronized drum solo was off the wall, and they never seemed to run out of stamina. It was an awesome performance.And can I just mention how quickly my raging 13 year old girl crush on Nick Hexum came rushing back? Anyway, before their set was Matisyahu, which was also pretty amazing. I had heard so many great things about his live shows and, sadly, missed him the last time he was around my way. It was one of the most spiritual things I have ever experienced.Its just proof, you know, the power of music. Whatever, I know I get all mushy sometimes, but its completely true. I really hope all you MOGgers take time out to take part in the Unity 2007 tour if you can. Definitely not something you want to miss.
