Not only am I obsessed with music, but I am a like a level 7 film geek too. I am no film historian to be certain, but the films that I love I really love, and obsess over them.(See Magnolia and Midnight Cowboy for instance)

Anyway, Here is a song that if I were ever to write/direct a movie, it would have to be in there somewhere. Some songs just paint a perfect picture for you...like that last scene in Garden State with 'Frou Frou's Let Go, or just about every scene with music in Boogie Nights, Magnolia, and Goodfellas.

Yeah, your Clementine avatar kind of give you away, what brilliant movie that was

wasn't it a brilliant movie? definitely one of my favourites.

this song is fantastic. & you are spot on...this has to be in a film. you can just see it over some pivotal scene. i keep seeing a desolate desert, car on the side of the road, a conversation between two characters without words.

i'm still waking up & rambling. heh.

Here is one for a scene that doesnt exist yet...i am feeling slow motion, maybe like a montage scene...in a smoky bar, or maybe a big fight between the romantic leads...i have a ton of ideas visually and soundtrack wise, but I have attempted to write dialouge, wow was it awful!!

definitely a fight between the romantic leads. perhaps this song starts up with that final blow -- either verbally or just a look, as one person walks off. then the montage of scenes could start while a car drives off.

i was just thinking last night while i was walking around outside that i am so visually/musically based in my mind. perhaps it was my mtv adolescence, but i hear music & i see a visual right along with it.

what did you not like about your dialog?

btw, this is a great song. very fit for a soundtrack.

Plus, putting in a Waits song gives your movie extra cool points, no matter how bad the dialogue!

see, who needs dialogue anyhow.

Yeah it could be WAY film Noir...just like 90 minutes of really cool music and some amazing cinematography...it will be a brand new genre ;-0

bringing back the pre-talkies film genre. it would be legendary.
