MUSIC SIGNPOSTS ON THE WEB'S LONELY ROAD

I tried to go out again tonight...failed miserabley!! I am to the point that unless there is something spectacular to do, or there is some amazing band playing...staying in and listening to music is the better option...

Anyway, anyone else in my age range (30 ^) remember this guy? I can remember him being heralded as the 'Canadian Beck'...um, not so much! I do love this song though...so here it goes

I had totally forgotten about that song. Loved it. I can hear the Beck comparisons. But even more, i hear the Crash Test Dummies-like harmony. Must be a Canadian thing... Speaking of which, totally different sound, but some of my favorite harmony popped up on my player today from yet another Canadian: underwhelmed by Sloan. AND i just found out last week that a local Madison station is re-broadcasting some CBC music here. Word! I used to love getting the late-night Canadian radio from across the river when i lived in Detroit, but my pc is not where i want to listen to tunes at night and i haven't hooked up any of the alternatives for internet streaming into my sterio yet, so i've been living without. Am i rambling yet? Speaking of which, it would be really nice if i could find some sw that i could set to record my favorite streaming audio shows. It would be like subscribing to a podcast for shows that didn't archive yet... Anyone?

his 2 most recent albums (Skyscraper National Park and Elk-Lake Serenade) are unbelievably beautiful. much better than the earlier releases (in my opinion), especialy Elk-Lake. he's working on a new record right now. you should give them a listen!

I agree with Huxley. Hayden's ability to tell stories through song is quite beautiful. Elk-Lake is an amzing album. "Killbear" and "Through The Rads" are personal faves.
