  4. Dale says I love his voice, the way it wavers ever so slightly on this song is so fragile and beautiful. Stop snickering Ash, I've always liked Johnny Cash, he's my country exemption.

  5. Anonymous says Here here. His later stuff (e.g. this song, all the American recordings etc) has the power to move me like hardly any other artist. He sings it like he feels it! And he makes covers sound like they belong to him. Speaking of which, here's one of my favorite covers!

  6. SteveAllen says Hi Blair-- Trying to catch up on your posts, which generally seems to be worthwhile. But this Johnny Cash I don't care for, because it's not him. He wasn't really a rover; he was in love with one woman most of his life, and the song that expresses that best is "Far Side Bank of Jordan,", which I will post on my MOGblog so you can see. It usually brings tears to my eyes, but maybe that's just because I'm getting old and have been married to one woman for over 40 years myself.... Anyway, come over and listen. It will be the first time I've tried to post something, so I hope it works. Steve
