Great show tonight...I was disappointed heading into the show, knowing that Lisa Hannigan who was prominently featured on both of his albums had recently stopped touring with Damien to record her own album, but that disappointment faded quickly.From the first few notes of the show opener '9 Crimes' through the entire set, the energy and intensity never waned....just a great show. The set was heavy on material from the debut album, with an occasional song from his second album 9 sprinkled in...For me, the absolute best point came at the very end,....Damien looked his most relaxed as he took slugs from a beer and puffs from a cigarette has he sang 'Cheers Darlin'....a great way to end a great night...is there really anything ever better to spend money on than live music???

goodmusiconly says excellent, b! curious that he didn't play more from the new release, but I'm glad it was a great show anyway. "Cheers Darlin'" is my favorite D.Rice song, hands down.

NeilNathan says caught him at radio city last week was pleasantly surprised by the full on rock assault on some tunes and his extensive use of the word fuck, which seemed extra dirty in such a classy venue when damien took a break, the new cellist did a great white stripes cover, though i now forget which tune it was one too many mojitos on the way in will do that to a man

Sadly - it's kinda true isn't it (for you, not for me) ;P Thrilled to hear it was such a sucess - I had little doubt - it's Damo !!! My last show with him - it was a bottle of red wine & Cheers Darlin' - it really is a *perfect end* to a night with Damo. Thanks for the post luv & cheers ! First time I saw him though - he closed with Eskimo ... talk about chills :)

amber says I firmly believe that a dollar spent on live music is the best dollar you can spend...why do you think I'm so f'ing broke all the time??? Glad you had a good time! As I had a concert/show free weekend, I'm jealous of you once again. cheers
